Mea Shearim

Mea Shearim is one of the most strict, ultra religious, Ashkenazi neighborhoods in the world. One must dress modestly to even walk the streets.

The streets are more like alleyways, and usually men walk on one side and women the other. Strollers galore and families can have up to 17 children.

They are not too fond of cameras and pictures but allowed a few snaps. Enjoy this amazing glimpse into this unique lifestyle in West Jerusalem.

These pictures were taken with my A7C and A1ii and mixed Sony lenses.
